Student Voice
Student voice is a highly valued and integral part of the ethos and decision making process at Fort Pitt Grammar School. Student voice contributes to the smooth running of our school and how we create, embed and refocus on our key priorities. Student voice includes our energetic School Council who meet once a term. These peer-elected students want to make a long term difference to improving the learning environment for the benefit of everyone. The School Council incorporates all students’ ideas by organising form group student activities and are in the process of developing the process of gaining a wider range of views/ suggestions with the use of surveys and questionnaires which are distributed across the student population. There is also an opportunity for student voice to be heard by an assembly with the Headteacher on a six week cycle where the students are listened to and, where possible their views are acted upon to effect change within the school.
